Victoria Brazil is Professor of Emergency Medicine and Director of Simulation at the Gold Coast Health Service, and at Bond University Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine. Victoria’s main focus is improving patient care by connecting doctors to educational content through healthcare simulation and novel learning platforms. Victoria is a social media enthusiast and believes networking platforms can play an important role in physician education. She is co-producer of Simulcast (Simulationpodcast.com)
Caroline Yates is a General Practitioner with over 15 years’ experience in metropolitan clinics, Northern Territory, Christmas and the Cocos Island. Currently working in isolated communities with the RFDS, Caroline understands the challenges of remote Medicine. Caroline is a GP Clinical Educator, working on Referral pathways within Queensland Health.
Dr Meroula Richardson is a cardiologist with subspecialty training in heart failure and cardiac transplant. She has held appointments as a cardiologist to the Heart and Lung Replacement service at the Alfred hospital, Melbourne, and founding member of the Heart Failure Service at the Alfred. Since 2010 she has worked as a Heart failure specialist at Cabrini hospital in Melbourne.
Dr James Morton is a Haematologist at Icon Cancer Care. Dr Morton’s particular clinical interests include leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, stem cell transplantation and clinical apheresis. In 2015, Dr Morton received Australia Day honours for his “significant service to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and to medicine in the field of oncology.”
Dr Stephen Pavia is a Cardiologist sub-specialising in Electrophysiology and Pacing. He is a senior partner of Heart Care Queensland, part of the Genesis Care group at the Wesley Hospital. Dr Pavia is passionate about improving clinical outcomes and creating a better patient experience through digital technology and medical innovation. He manages the largest remote device monitoring clinic in Australia.
